Welcome to the first segment of Autocab’s ‘AutoFab Five’, whereby we will be profiling the fantastic, heart-warming community work being carried by our amazing customers during these challenging times.

Lucky Seven Taxis

Lucky Seven recently teamed up with local Stoke-on-Trent based superstore Al-Madina to deliver over 300 food parcels to hard-working NHS staff at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Operations Manager, Zahir Ahmad, says he knew he wanted to help staff after witnessing first-hand the supermarket panic buying in recent weeks.

“NHS staff are working long hours, working hard, and then they go to the supermarket after a shift and can’t even buy the basic necessities,” Mr Ahmad explained.

“They are risking their lives for us and doing an amazing job to save others.”

Network Private Hire

Network Private Hire made it their mission to bring smiles to the faces of their local community. They achieved this by delivering 800 Easter Eggs to Cancer Unit, Ward 6A, at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children.

Network didn’t just stop there, however – the team also kindly donated a large selection of chocolate eggs to Shettleston Juniors Food Bank, which have since been shared out to children and the elderly across the East End of Glasgow.

Boro Cars

Teesside’s largest taxi firm, Boro Cars, last week demonstrated their support for the NHS in-line with the nationwide Clap for Carers campaign, which occurs every Thursday at 8pm.

Boro Cars drivers stood outside their vehicles and proudly applauded our NHS Heroes in a heart-warming showing of affection for those working tirelessly to protect us during these challenging times.

Andy Cars Gloucester

Andy Cars acted as the Easter Bunny on Sunday when they delivered 300 chocolate eggs to healthcare staff at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

An Andy Cars letter addressed to the hospital stated:

“This gift is a small token of our appreciation for the support you have given us over the years and the sacrifices being made by all frontline staff.”

It was only fitting that Andy Cars chose Cadbury Heroes eggs, in-line with the truly heroic work our frontline workers are continuing to carry out each day!

Express Taxis Falkirk

Just like Andy Cars, Express Taxis Falkirk were also enlisted by the Easter Bunny last weekend!

To show their appreciation for their local NHS staff – and to help raise the spirits of those receiving care at Forth Valley Royal Hospital’s Children’s Ward – Express showed their true, caring colours by delivering a large selection of chocolate eggs.

This, another truly fantastic gesture of good will which brought happiness and joy to the community during what is a challenging time for us all.
