Taxi technology company Autocab has toasted another year of awards success in 2019, scooping a hat-trick of trophies and being shortlisted for several more.

Autocab walked away as winners in the Prolific North Tech Awards, the UK IT Industry Awards and the UK Social Media Communications Awards – the latter for its innovation in developing a Facebook Messenger chatbot for taxi firms. It was also nominated in the UK App Awards, the UK Business Tech Awards, The SaaS Awards and the IT Europa European IT Software Excellence Awards.

The tech company is already in the running to pick up more honours in 2020 too – it has been shortlisted in four categories at the Prolific North Tech Awards and three categories at The UK Complaint Handling Awards.

Based in Stockport, Autocab now supplies more than 50% of the UK private hire taxi market with its online booking and dispatch platform, driver app and white-labelled passenger apps – which have processed more than three billion bookings to date.

Over the last three years, the company has seen its SaaS revenues grow 158% – with annual profits increasing 29% on average, reaching £7.2m in 2018. Its iGo Network is uniting taxi firms around the world into a cooperative network and marketplace – allowing passengers to use their local taxi firm’s app to book a taxi wherever they are.

Safa Alkateb, CEO at Autocab said: “We’re so proud that our team and technology have continued to gain deserved recognition in the past year. We’re looking forward to what 2020 will bring, with several partnerships and further growth for the iGo Network on the horizon.”
