If a driver is running a little later than expected, or if they arrive at a destination and the customer is not there, it may be necessary for them to talk directly to their customer. For this reason, we introduced our call customer feature.

Using our Ghost and Phantom system, drivers can call a customer directly using 4 different methods:

  1. Direct dial from a driver’s mobile phone
This method is where the driver will dial a pre-determined phone number from their own personal mobile phone. The system will then recognise the driver’s number and request for Phantom to call the customer.
  1. Direct dial from a driver’s PDA/MDT
This method is where the driver will dial a pre-determined phone number by pressing “call customer” from their commands map on the MDT/PDA. The system will then recognise the driver’s number and request for Phantom to call the customer.
  1. Phantom calls the driver’s personal mobile & the customer
This method is where the driver will press the “Call Customer” on their MDT/PDA and the system will call their personal mobile number and then once the driver has answered the call the system will call the customer and bridge the 2 calls together.
  1. Phantom calls the driver’s PDA (Android PDA’s Only) & the customer
This method is where the driver will press the “Call Customer” on their MDT/PDA and the system will call the drivers PDA and then once the driver has answered the call the system will call the customer and bridge the 2 calls together.

Configuring any of the above methods requires a new ABOP/IVR to be set up. Please speak to your engineer to arrange this.
