Introduction

In 1989 GPC Computer Software Ltd developed a revolutionary new computer program which was to transform the taxi industry. This program was Autocab and, since its introduction, it has evolved to become the most advanced booking and dispatch system.

What is the Autocab System?

The Autocab System comprises TWO main components:

1. The taxi management and dispatch software within the company’s base
   
2. The fleets’ data terminals in the vehicles.

Information and data is sent between these two components allowing the operator:

• To allocate jobs to active drivers
• To monitor and locate cars at all times
• To view all zones in extensive detail.
